IT Systems Technician – Bury St Edmunds

Role Description
We are currently looking to recruit a full time, IT Systems Technician to join our team in Bury St Edmunds.
This position will compliment the current skill sets within our IT team whilst also providing you with the opportunity to continue to learn and develop.
Key responsibilities include:
• Support IT Manager in providing day – to day support and development for core business applications
• Support IT Manager in investigating and resolving data issues, and user requests
• Develop the ability to maintain and enhance applications over time
• Assist with maintaining data interfaces, imports / exports and automation routines
• Work with business teams to understand requirement and translate them into technical solutions
• Help identify opportunities for system improvements, automation and efficiency gains
• Support IT controls by ensuring changes are traceable, reviewed and appropriately tested
Qualifications & Experience
• 2 – 5 years’ experience within an IT Department is preferable
• Experience of supporting ERP / MRP suites
• Proactive and hands-on approach
• Experience of programming ( any language ) and willingness to learn further programming languages
• Experience implementing and embedding an ERP system desirable
• Database Admin Experience essential
