National Account Manager – Remote

Robinson Young Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and commercially focused National Account Manager to drive profitable growth across a portfolio of national retail accounts.

This role involves managing both branded and own-label products within a competitive FMCG environment, requiring strong commercial acumen, analytical capability, and relationship management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver sales, profit, and margin targets across assigned accounts
  • Develop and implement Joint Business Plans (JBPs) aligned to company strategy
  • Manage pricing, promotions, and trading terms negotiations
  • Identify and deliver new business opportunities across categories and customers
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers and key stakeholders
  • Analyse EPOS and market data to drive insight-led decisions
  • Lead range reviews, tenders, and promotional planning
  • Produce accurate forecasts and performance reports
  • Work cross-functionally with supply chain, finance, and product development
  • Monitor in-store execution, competitor activity, and market trends

Key Requirements

Essential:

  • Experience as a National Account Manager within FMCG or Health & Beauty
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen
  • Demonstrated success managing national retail accounts
  • Advanced negotiation and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using sales/EPOS data
  • Excellent organisational and planning capabilities

Desirable:

  • Experience managing accounts such as Boots, Superdrug, or grocery multiples
  • Knowledge of health, beauty, or personal care categories
